Hi, I’m Denise Maples — the person behind Denise Maples VA.

I partner with solo professionals and small, service-based businesses and organizations who want reliable, thoughtful support without losing the personal touch. Based in Norman, Oklahoma, I bring calm, structure, and follow-through to the behind-the-scenes work that keeps a business running smoothly. You’ll often see my furry sidekick, Bingo, nearby — he’s great for morale.

Here’s my story:

For over 25 years, I worked in social services, supporting individuals and organizations as they set goals, manage programs, and navigate complex systems. My career spans nonprofit and not-for-profit environments, case management, budget oversight, and education — all roles that required organization, discretion, and strong communication.

In 2016, I launched and operated my own case management business serving individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities through Medicaid waiver programs. Running my own business gave me firsthand experience with the realities of being a solo professional: wearing all the hats, managing details, and balancing mission-driven work with day-to-day operations.

That experience ultimately led me to shift my focus.
